About

Captain Paul grew up exploring Lake Kabetogama and the surrounding area. He fell in love with the lake at a very young age, even before the area was a National Park. He has over 50 years of experience driving boats on these waters in all kinds of weather. After retiring as a Deputy Sheriff, Paul decided to use his love of boats and the area as a means to share his experiences with Park Visitors.

“Voyagers National Park is only accessible by water. I love sharing the natural beauty and the history of the area with Visitors. We talk about the Native Americans, Voyagers, Loggers, Bootleggers, Miners, Commercial Fisherman as well as local characters I have personally known. We also talk about the Geology of the area and I show them rock that is over 2 billion years old. My goal is to have the day they spend on my boat the best day of their vacation!”
